There were no injuries to report after the residents’ evacuation.
Var firefighters were called early Monday morning to put out a fire that broke out on the ground floor of a three-story building, rue de l’observance in Draguignan, a learned BFM Toulon Var fire brigade.
When they arrived at the site of the disaster, they discovered an apartment of about thirty square meters completely on fire. The person who lived there had left before first aid arrived.
No injuries to report
The firefighters secured, via ladders, four residents (including two children) located on the upper floors who could not go out on their own.
After rescuing the people, firefighters fought to prevent the fire from spreading to the upper floors and adjacent buildings.
No injuries are to be deplored as the fire was kept under control by the 20 firefighters mobilized during the intervention. A medical team from SMUR Fréjus was also sent to the site of the fire.
