An American in Paris

This cult musical has always transported me to a magnified 1950s Paris, a colorful Paris straight out of an impressionist painting. I find there my city and its pictures so well illustrated. Symphonic poetry, rhythmic choreography, the French style sublimated. I imagined this symbolic print, taking inspiration from the movie poster. I wanted to use the colors, the position of the characters and the typography of the title to bring this comedy back to life.
