An abnormal number of positive tests creates trouble at the agricultural school of Oisellerie in Charente

“This is a totally incongruous result”, for the departmental director of the Regional Health Agency in Charente, Atika Rida-Chafi. To achieve such a percentage of positive students, the school would have had to respect no health measures linked to the spread of the virus, no “social bubble”. However, the headmaster of the Oisellerie is known for his respect for barrier gestures and the obvious rules of collective hygiene.

PCR tests to verify antigenic results

Some hypotheses are put forward to explain these atypical results: one evokes anomalies in the swabbing or the handling of the tests. But the most likely error concerns the material conditions of this screening operation by antigenic tests. It was cold in the gymnasium where the tests were carried out: between 10 and 14 degrees all day, while the tests should be done at room temperature (19-20 degrees). A defect in the test set is also not excluded. All the positive students are the subject, as of this Wednesday, of new tests by the PCR method, considered as more reliable by the health professionals.
