Among Us Defeats the Popularity of PUBG Mobile

Game Among Us craze. Among Us is the most downloaded game in the third quarter of 2020, far behind PUBG Mobile.

Based on the latest Sensor Tower report, Among Us was able to attract gamers during the Corona pandemic. The number of downloads Among Us is number one, both downloaded via the App Store and Play Store.

Sensor Tower said that when compared to the number that installed the Among Us game in the third quarter of last year, the difference could be more than 13 times what it is today. Wow!

Among Us is unique, this game made by Innersloth popularized the terms Crewmate and Impostor. Many people wonder what Impostor means? Impostor is a character who pretends to be a Crewmate but kills him.

If you look at the total game downloads as a whole, Sensor Tower says that Scribble Rider is number two. Then in order are occupied, Talking Tom Friends, Subway Surfers, Garena Free Fire, Cube Surfer, Stack Colors, Tie Dye, Ludo King, and PUBG Mobile.

Sensor Tower said that this is the first time mobile game installations have increased by nearly 28% year over year (YoY) to 14.2 billion on the App Store and Play Store globally.

In detail, the majority of installs came from the Play Store, growing 36.8% from 8.7 billion in the third quarter of 2019 to 11.9 billion in this period. In contrast, the App Store, in fact, experienced a decline of 4.2% from 2.4 billion to 2.3 billion in the third quarter of this year.

Entering the fourth quarter of 2020, Sensor Tower sees that the Corona pandemic can still affect unexpected ways, for example, new trends or increased applications, one of which is Among Us which suddenly skyrocketed even though the game was launched in 2018 ago.
