Mexico City, August 17 (However) .— The President Andrés Manuel López Obrador asked the Attorney General from Republic (FGR) that the complaint of the former director of Mexican oil (Pemex), Emilio Lozoya, be open, say who are they and how much was it what they stole.

Subsequently, the federal president upheld his respect for the FGR and the Judiciary; however, he pointed out that it is “a matter of State” and defended his “right to have an opinion,” for which he asked that the case be made known to Mexicans without hindering the investigations.

“Yes, the requirements of due process must be observed, but I consider that it is a matter of national public interest. Then the entire complaint of Mr. Lozoya must be known. All Mexicans should know what Mr. Lozoya denounced. I do not know what would be the procedure to follow for the Prosecutor’s Office or the corresponding instance of the Judicial Power to report on this complaint, of course with all those involved and with all the handling of the money, with the delivery of the bribes, which can be seen in social networks, on television the video that Mr. Lozoya gave to the Prosecutor’s Office, to know everything, “he said.
As a second action, the president affirmed that everything “ill-gotten” must be recovered and that the country recover what was obtained illegally during his tenure as director of Pemex during Enrique Peña Nieto’s six-year term.
Regarding prosecuting the former presidents, López Obrador pointed out that this matter will be determined in a citizen consultation to bring them to trial, stating that revenge is not his strong suit.
