In his tour of the Mountain, which began on Friday in the Mixtec municipality of Metlatónoc and continued this Saturday in Tlapa, a place considered as the Heart of the Guerrero Mountain, as well as the municipalities of Malinaltepec and San Luis Acatlán, the president admitted that his The government failed in its first year due to inexperience and poor political operation.
“The first year there was resistance, we also did not operate properly, we did not have enough experience, but to this was added the fact that there were interests with the previous program and they did not like that the fertilization program in Guerrero was also managed with this idea to deliver their fertilizer directly to the producer ”, expressed AMLO during an event held this afternoon in the municipal seat of San Luis Acatlán.
He recalled that the first year that the fertilizer program was delivered by his government, there were protests in Guerrero and road blocks to prevent the agricultural input from arriving.
However, he said that this third year there were no more problems and concluded: “I am very happy because with the rain and with the fertilizer the cornfields are very good, the milpas and there will be a good harvest of corn in Guerrero as it was not seen. in a long time, for the support that the fertilizer means. It is nothing more than to continue with the program and consolidate it ”, he indicated.
President López Obrador traveled through three of the 21 municipalities that make up the Mountain region and on the federal highway Tlapa-Marquelia he went down to the Costa Chica region, where he ended his tour in San Luis Acatlán.
In this emblematic place where the guerrilla professor Genaro Vázquez Rojas was born, AMLO announced that it also has to consolidate the scholarship program for low-income students at the university level and that to date there are more than 300 thousand beneficiaries.

He also reported that, together with the governor of Guerrero, Evelyn Salgado Pineda, they made a commitment to apply 2,100 million pesos for the construction of hydraulic concrete roads in the Montaña region.
“We are going to transfer the funds in the case of Guerrero to the 21 municipalities of the Mountain, to deliver 100 million pesos to each municipal government, on average, to begin with. With the experience that exists in Oaxaca, up to 20 kilometers can be made per year with those 100 million, if the budget is well taken care of, ”said AMLO.
He considered it necessary to build a 60-kilometer road to connect at least 70 communities from Metlatónoc to the municipality of Igualapa in the Costa Chica region, which would be a parallel road to the Tlapa-Marquelia highway to connect the cold and hot Mountain.
“If we follow this path, we are going to help a lot of people and we can do it with the same members of the communities. This is how the roads of Oaxaca are built and they are done very well, and men work and women work, and the money remains in the communities, it remains in the municipalities, the economy is reactivated, it has a multiplier effect.
