New Delhi ∙ The Delhi High Court has banned the unauthorized use of the voice, name and likeness of Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. The interim order is on the statement filed by the plaintiff.
Bachchan had claimed in the petition that his name had been misused, including that of the person who cheated more than 100 people in the name of the “Kon Banega Crorepati (KBC)” lottery ticket. The court found that Bachchan’s reputation had been misused without his permission. The court also ordered telecommunications companies to take action against websites that illegally use his voice. The appeal hearing has been postponed until next year.
Ram Janmabhoomi: Need to give voice in the film
