Americans buy the Czech software company Samepage

There is another sale by a Czech technology company originating in foreign hands. Firm Samepage, which offers enterprise communication and collaboration tools in the form of cloud software as a service, is now becoming part of the American company Paylocity. The transaction price is not public.

Paylocity trades on the NASDAQ, has a market value of over $ 10.5 billion and reported sales of over $ 561 million in fiscal 2020 with year-over-year growth of 20 percent. The company develops cloud software for so-called human capital management (HCM) and payroll and is therefore mainly used in HR. The samepage will therefore fit into this SaaS offer.

Samepage has an interesting story behind it. This software was originally called Kerio Workspace and was part of the Czech company Kerio. In 2016, the department was renamed. A year later Kerio bought the American GFI Software and Samepage Labs became a separate entity formally registered as an American company.

To the startup later financially Reflex Capital fund entered Ondřej Fryc. He provided the money in 2018 and 2019. Samepage Labs was founded Scott Schreiman, Martin Viktora a Stanislav Kolář.
