Bushmills Collision Leaves Police Investigating

A woman from Connecticut tragically died Wednesday following a traffic incident in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision, which occurred near the popular tourist destination of Bushmills.

Details of the Incident

Police responded to reports of a collision on the Causeway Road shortly before 12:30 PM. Emergency services also attended the scene, providing immediate medical assistance. Allison Eichner, a pedestrian in her 40s, was transported to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that one individual was taken into custody at the location of the accident and is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation.

Detective Inspector Adair stated, “Detectives from the Collision Investigation Unit are conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision, and would ask anyone who might have information which could assist to get in touch.”
