Realitarakyat.com – To prevent the spread of monkeypox, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States (US) recommends that sex be done virtually.

This US virtual sex advice is listed in the latest CDC guide entitled “Social Gatherings, Safer Sex, and Monkeypox”. This guide was just released in mid-June.

“If you or your partner have or suspect monkeypox, consider reducing your risk of spreading the virus,” the CDC wrote.

One of them is to have virtual sex without direct contact. This method is considered safer to do in the midst of the monkeypox epidemic that is attacking Uncle Sam’s country.

The CDC advises the public to be aware of the presence of sores and rashes on the skin, including in the area of the intimate organs, suddenly and unexplained.

“If you or your partner are feeling sick or have these rashes and sores, don’t have sex just yet and see a healthcare provider,” the CDC wrote.

In addition to virtual sex, the US also provides guidance on other forms of sexual contact. Here are some of them:

– masturbate together at a distance of at least 6 feet or about 2 meters without touching each other;
– consider having sex while wearing clothes or covering the area of rashes and sores with a cloth, reduce skin-to-skin contact;
– avoid kissing;
– wash hands, sex toys, or any object after sex;
– do not change partners.

Monkeypox is an infectious disease caused by the Monkeypox virus. This disease was re-discovered in April, until now the world has recorded more than 1,000 cases of monkeypox.

Monkeypox causes flu-like symptoms accompanied by rashes and blisters. Rashes or sores generally appear in the area around the intimate organs, but can spread to other areas such as hands, feet, chest to face.

This disease can be spread to anyone through close contact, including sexual contact.[prs]
