America de Cali today has not been able to leave Bolivia due to aviation strike | Libertadores Cup

From Bolivia it is reported that the Federation of Workers of the Administration of Airports and Auxiliary Services to Air Navigation (Fenta-Aasana) entered an indefinite general stoppage of activities since this Thursday due to the breach of agreements of the Ministry of Public Works, which caused all commercial flights to and from that country to be canceled.

The situation directly harms América de Cali, which was due to return this morning from the Viru Viru International Airport, the largest and most important in Bolivia, located in the north of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The Colombian champion defeated Venezuela’s La Guaira 3-1 on Wednesday night at the Ramón Tahuichi Aguilera Stadium and revived his chances of continuing in the continental tournament.

According to Los Tiempos Digital, “in Cochabamba, commercial flights were not going to be attended after 10 in the morning. The flights that transport the vaccines will be attended by the minimum staff of Aasana ”, indicated Aldo Eamara, general secretary of the Aasana union. Aasana staff hold vigils and protests at the doors of the institution demanding the payment of wages owed and overtime.

Passengers are waiting for a solution to the conflict. Eamara indicated that the State portfolio had until today for the approval of a Rotary Fund of Bs 67 million, through a supreme decree.

The Valle del Cauca team is still waiting for this event to be resolved, as it must prepare for the match of the sixth date of Group H in Asunción, where it must beat Cerro Porteño next Tuesday to qualify for the knockout stages of the Copa Libertadores 2021.
