Therefore, for the time being, one can only hope that the new mobile Radeons will reach the market in real terms sooner, in greater than a trace amount.

So far, we can at least look at test modelu Radeon RX 6600M, which is to compete with the mobile version of the GeForce RTX 3060. It should at least get into the HP Omen 16 model, and we do not know if this laptop was tested. But the important thing is that all the cards in the test were connected to the Ryzen 7 5800H processor, so the results are comparable.

The Radeon RX 6600M uses a Navi 23 GPU with 1792 Stream processors in 28 CUs, which is not the full configuration of the chip, which has a total of 32 CUs. We also have 8 GB of memory on a 128-bit bus, which is helped by 32 MB of Infinity Cache. This card will be available in various versions with a TGP from 60 to 100 W, with the most powerful 100 W version being tested. According to tests in Time Spy, it will be almost 40 percent more powerful than the 60W version, so it will be very appropriate to take this into account when choosing a computer.
GeForce RTX 3060 has an advantage, on the other hand, as its TGP is up to 115 W and in addition +15 W when using Dynamic Boost. In synthetic tests, this card provides weaker performance in FireStrike than the RX 6600M, but is more powerful in Time Spy and Port Royal. And what about games?

In Full HD, the performance of the RX 6600M and RTX 3600 is very balanced, with Radeon doing better in e-sports titles than in AAA games. But if we want to play in a higher resolution, then GeForce is already increasing its lead in AAA games with a difference of almost 13 percent. An even bigger difference (37 percent) was measured in titles with ray tracing turned on, namely in the games SOTTR and Metro Exodus.
