Amber Heard, the beautiful actress ex-wife of Johnny Depp, has announced as a surprise on his Instagram account, Thursday 1 July 2021, to be become a mother, in April, of a little girl named Oonagh Paige Heard.
Amber, who was unable to have children, spoke very honestly about her infertility problems and her decision to go to surrogacy.
I am so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my terms. Now I appreciate how radical it is for us women to think in this way of one of the most fundamental parts of our destiny. Hopefully we will get to a point where it is normal not to have a ring to have a cradle. Part of me wants to argue that my private life is nobody’s business. I also understand that the nature of my work forces me to take control of it. My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She is the beginning of the rest of my life.
The name Oonagh is pronounced oo-nuh. It is a female name of Irish origin which means “lamb”
The middle name Paige is a tribute to her mother Paige Heard, who died last year.
A source close to Amber told Page Six that “it was important for Amber to be transparent about the birth of her child. There are so many women who feel they cannot talk about their fertility and are worried and embarrassed; Amber wants them to feel supported and to realize they are there many ways to have a baby even if you have fertility problems ”.
The same source also said the star is grateful to the woman who was her surrogate and helped her achieve her goal of being a mother: “Oonagh is absolutely gorgeous and Amber is totally infatuated. She always knew she wanted to be a mom, and this is her biggest wish come true. She is so grateful to the wonderful woman who helped bring Oonagh into her life ”.
The Amber’s divorce from Johnny Depp was finalized in January 2017 with the actress pledging to donate the $ 7 million deal she received to charity. The end of the couple’s relationship was consummated through a nasty judicial battle in the UK that saw both sides blurting out painful and embarrassing private episodes in front of the judges, and consequently the whole world. The image of both has suffered a lot from the story. We hope this little girl brings some light and serenity into her life.
