A few days apart, SFR and Bouygues Telecom both announce the arrival of Amazon Prime Video in their respective boxes (Bbox Miami, Bbox 4K, Box 4K SFR and soon other SFR boxes). It is simply a question of availability, not of special discount.
SFR and Bouygues customers who want to take advantage of Prime Video on their box (and their other devices) must pay the normal price of € 5.99 / month. They will also have access to other Prime services (free delivery, music streaming, etc.).
If you regularly watch Prime Video, it is always better to take the annual Prime subscription, which costs € 49. Those who are already subscribed can also connect their usual account on the boxes of two operators.
Since the end of last year, Free has included the Amazon Prime subscription in its Freebox Delta offer, at no additional cost to customers. It is only Orange that does not somehow offer its customers the benefit of Jeff Bezos’ service.
By inserting itself in this way in operators’ boxes, as Netflix did before it, Amazon should strengthen its second place in the video on demand market in France. To popularize Apple TV +, after opening its TV application on several platforms, could Apple make similar partnerships with ISPs?
