WhatsApp Expands Message Translation to Six Languages
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – whatsapp users can now automatically translate incoming messages into their preferred language, a feature initially rolled out for English adn Spanish and now extended to Arabic, Portuguese, Hindi, and Russian. Teh update aims to break down dialog barriers within the popular messaging app’s global user base.
the translation tool operates directly within chats, allowing users to tap and hold on a message to reveal a “Translate” option. This feature addresses a meaningful need for seamless cross-lingual communication, particularly as WhatsApp’s reach extends across diverse linguistic communities. while currently limited to six languages,WhatsApp anticipates adding support for additional languages in the coming months,progressively expanding accessibility for it’s billions of users worldwide.
Currently, the feature is available for messages sent in one of the six supported languages and translated into one of the same six. If the translation function isn’t instantly visible, users are advised to check for WhatsApp updates; rollout to all users with the latest version is expected to continue over the next few days.
