“All-terrain” supercar: what if Ferrari made one too?

GETTING OFF AS AN SUV – There is big news in the golden world of dream cars: on the one hand the powerful effect of SUV fashion, on the other the Research exasperated by maxims performance in new areas, they have suggested to some manufacturers of super sports cars and supercars to create versions with raised wheels and an unusually “rough” look of their jewels. So Porsche brought out the new one 911 Dakara 480 HP 4×4 “beast” freely inspired by the racing ancestor that triumphed in the Paris-Dakar in 1984. From Sant’Agata Bolognese, Lamborghini responded with the Huracan dirt road: compared to its German rival it has an advantage of 160 HP and an equally adventurous look, but despite the four-wheel drive it has a less off-road vocation.

WHO KNOWS HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST… – In the course of its 75 glorious years of history, Ferrari had never “outside the box” as with the Thoroughbred Ferrariwhich is both its first four-door and its first crossover. Which is why it is not difficult to imagine what effect it would be, very close to the super SUV that is already sold-out, to see leaving the gates of the Maranello factory a sand and gravel-proof SF90. The recipe, in theory, does not differ much from that followed by Porsche and Lamborghini to set up their supercars with high wheels: greater “clearance” from the ground, reinforced tyres, guards and plastic tangs on the wheel arches, to protect the bodywork, and that’s it. Luckily, dreaming costs nothing. Because, in comparison, the approximately 320,000 euros estimated for a Huracán Sterrato would probably be tiny…
