The Galaxy S20 from Samsung is just around the corner. In the meantime, some interesting details have already appeared. The manufacturer wants to stand out especially in the cameras. GIGA summarizes all known information about the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra.
For a long time there had been speculation under which name the successor to the Galaxy S10 could come on the market. Now Samsung seems to have decided: Instead of a Galaxy S11 a Galaxy S20 is now awaiting us. In addition, as expected, there is a Plus variant – but it is not even the top model of the Galaxy S20 series, because the group wants to attack with a third, even better equipped model. The Galaxy S20 Ultra should outshine the standard version.
But let’s stay with the Galaxy S20 for now. In comparison to the predecessor, the design has been revised, the side edges should hardly be visible. The selfie camera will continue to be “hidden” in a camera hole, but this will probably move from the top right corner to the center. Samsung apparently uses a 120 Hertz mode for the display itself, which will ensure even smoother scrolling. According to reports, the screen comes to a diagonal of 6.2 or 6.4 inches.

Samsung Galaxy S20 with Snapdragon 865
The fast Snapdragon 865 should be installed in the processor in the USA and China, while in Europe and other parts of the world a Samsung Exynos processor with comparable performance is used. A 5G modem is used in both cases. It is not yet known how much RAM and hard disk space will be used in the standard Galaxy S20 model. At least 12 GB of RAM will then be available, together with an internal capacity of 128, 256 or 512 GB.
According to rumors, the Galaxy S20 should not have a microSD slot to expand the memory – although there is no clear statement yet. A headphone jack in 3.5 mm format should be avoided.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with 108 MP photos
While there is hardly any information about the camera equipment of the Galaxy S20, the bigger Ultra version already looks different. Here, the main sensor should enable images with up to 108 MP. Thanks to pixel binning, recordings should look better in low-light conditions than in the predecessor.
The three other lenses on the back should serve zoom, wide-angle and time-of-flight shots. Just like the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus should also be able to record videos with 8K resolution.

The Display of the Galaxy S20 Plus will reportedly have a resolution of 3,200 x 1,440 pixels, have a diagonal of 6.7 inches and also have a 120 Hertz mode. The Snapdragon 865 has 12 GB of RAM, the battery could reach a capacity of 4,500 mAh and can be charged with up to 25 watts.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra: new premium model
For the first time, Samsung is bringing another mobile phone to the Galaxy S20 series, which delivers even more performance than the respective Plus model. At the Galaxy S20 Ultra 108 MP should also be available as the maximum resolution for photos, but a hundredfold zoom could also make its debut for the second lens, which enables 48 MP. Visually, it should be possible to zoom by a factor of ten.
There are also differences in the battery, which in the Ultra model probably comes to 5,000 mAh and brings with it a quick charge function that delivers 45 watts. The internal capacity of 128, 256 or 512 GB should also be expandable via a microSD card, which is said to only be the case with the Galaxy S20 Ultra. There are also 12 or 16 GB of RAM.
New Galaxy S20 series: launch in February
Samsung should have the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra at one Event on February 11, 2020 officially introduce. Publication is then expected in March 2020. How much the group would like to have for each model is not yet clear. At least the Galaxy S20 Ultra should crack the mark of 1,000 euros.
