With “All or Nothing” Amazon attacked the competitor HBO, who dominated the market with the “Hard Knocks” format. The series has been available free of charge to all Amazon Prime customers on demand since July 1, 2016. From August 12, 2016 there was also a synchronized German version of the first season.

Season 1 with the Arizona Cardinals

The series is Amazon’s first SportDocumentary, and accompanied the Arizona Cardinals exclusively through the entire 2015 NFL season – from team composition to the season finale. This is also the biggest difference too Hard Knocks, which “only” gives an insight into the training camp.

For the first time in the history of the NFL, fans and spectators were able to look behind the scenes of the league and get closer to its stars and creators than ever before throughout the 2015 season. In the first season the focus was on the Arizona Cardinals and their top players Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald, Patrick Peterson and Tyrant Mathieu.

All or Nothing Staffel 2 – Los Angeles Rams

After that first season, it continued with the entire season of the (at that point) new Los Angeles Rams. The Rams were a little less successful with a 4-12 season than the Cardinals in the previous season. The Rams were also seen on the final season of HBO’s Hard Knocks.

All or Nothing picked up where HBO left off. As the first series ever, the one with the Sports-Emmy excellent series fans behind the scenes of the team in Los Angeles and follows players and officials of the Los Angeles Rams through the 2016 season and provides unexpectedly honest insights into a difficult year in eight rousing episodes.

Kleiner Skandal – Coach Firing Jeff Fisher

The Los Angeles Rams split from head coach Jeff Fisher during the 2016 season. The camera team responsible for All or Nothing was there and captured the scene.

With the loss to the Atlanta Flacons (Fisher’s last as coach of the Rams), the number of his losses as a coach rose to 165, so he shared the record of most losses as NFL head coach with Dan Reeves. Fisher, however, needed 18 fewer games to reach this mark.

The most popular season to date followed the Rams.

The NFL announced in late March 2018 that Amazon would release the third season of the Emmy winning series “All or Nothing” on April 27, 2018 and that America’s team would be the focus.

“We’re excited to announce that the third season of ‘All or Nothing’ will feature the Dallas Cowboys. One of the most famous and fascinating teams in the NFL, the Cowboys have a fanatical following, ”said Heather Schuster (Amazon Originals).

The third season, which also consisted of eight episodes, focused on the Cowboys and the events of the 2017 season. The story was told by Emmy winner Jon Hamm, who took his role again from the first two seasons.

As a viewer, you follow the team through their turbulent 2017 season, which begins with hopes for the Super Bowl and ends with a lack of victory for the playoff participation. (After an emotional roller coaster ride full of controversy)

Amazon had enough material to choose from as it covered Ezekiel Elliott’s suspension, the team’s unified stance on protests against social injustice, and even the ongoing disputes between owner Jerry Jones and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Offshoot – Coming – All or Nothing College, Rugby & Football

Thanks to the success of their Emmy-winning NFL series, Amazon has announced that it will be launching more sports programs under the name “All or Nothing”.

The documentary format gave unprecedented access to the entire Michigan Wolverines season, as well as the stories behind the characters. All or Nothing: The Michigan Wolverines launched on April 6, 2018.

This was followed by the formats All or nothing: The New Zealand All Blacks, in which Amazon followed the rugby team and All or nothing: Manchester City with which the online giant also wanted to conquer the football market.

The documentary series accompanied Manchester City behind the scenes of the record season 2017/18, which ended with the championship title in the Premier League.

2019 – As reported by Pro Football Talk in May, the Carolina Panthers will be the focus of the fourth season of the NFL series “All or Nothing”.

This year there was no advance notice as to when the new season would appear or which team it would be about.

There was an official confirmation from the NFL or from Amazon on June 26, 2019. Thus it has been confirmed that the panthers are the focus. In doing so, the series offers a fascinating look at the Panthers and their decay over the past season. They started the season 6-2 before losing 7 games in a row and missing the playoffs. Quarterback Cam Newton’s shoulder also made it harder and harder to get the ball into play during the season.

It is now also fixed that the new season All or nothing will appear worldwide on July 19th. This year, too, the story will be told by Jon Hamm.
