New York State nursing homes and adult care centers must provide access to COVID-19 booster shots to all residents, Governor Kathy Hochul announced.
The directive was issued on Sunday, two days after the governor announced that she was declaring a State of Emergency as of December 3 due to a possible spike in COVID-19 cases during the winter. This is due to the Delta and Omicron variants, the latter recently identified.
“We have to do everything we can to protect vulnerable New Yorkers. That means making sure everyone can get boosted,” Hochul tweeted.
