The Champions League will soon resume its rights. After long months of waiting, the most prestigious of European competitions will restart with the four round of 16 return that remained to be played (Juve-OL, Barça-Naples, Manchester City-Real Madrid and Bayern Munich-Chelsea). Then, from August 12, the kickoff of the quarter-finals with Atalanta-PSG will follow. A recovery for which the clubs involved had to submit their famous list of players to UEFA.

As a reminder, the governing body of European football authorized teams to put back an element present in their list in September 2019, but which had been withdrawn last winter. On the other hand, it is impossible for them to include the reinforcements acquired this summer (City left for Bayern, Leroy Sans therefore does not have the right to play for the Bavarians). This afternoon, UEFA has also formalized the changes submitted by the teams. Only four teams have not made any changes: Chelsea, Atlético, Napoli and Real Madrid.
Two changes at PSG
On the French side, Paris Saint-Germain obviously lost Edinson Cavani and Thomas Meunier. To replace them, the capital club has reinstated Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting (who had been zapped last February) and qualified for the first time Mitchell Bakker. With the uncertainties hanging over the physical state of Layvin Kurzawa and Juan Bernat, the Batavian side has a good chance of playing the quarterfinal against Atalanta. Note also that the Dea did not keep Adrian Tameze, returned to Nice.
In Lyon, if the entrants are not known to the general public (Sinaly Diomande, Reo Griffiths, Eli Wissa), the starters, on the other hand, are more notable (Martin Terrier, Lucas Tousart, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa). Future opponent of Gones, Juventus, for their part, replaced Sami Khedira with Merih Demiral. Finally, Leipzig (Timo Werner) and Manchester City (Leroy Sané) haven’t made any big additions, but have also lost a high-sounding name.
