“Alina Kabaeva: The Empress of Russia and Vladimir Putin’s Mistress with a $120 Million Fortune”

They call Alina Kabaeva the Empress of Russia. He is believed to own properties worth a total of $120 million. He can still do a perfect split. She takes eighth place in the ranking of the “100 most influential women in Russia” by “Ogonyok” magazine, published in March 2014. This is Alina Kabaeva, who turned 40 yesterday, writes novini.bg.

The former gymnast is the most talked about mistress of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is exactly 30 years her senior. She is believed to have made him a first-time father of a boy and bore him a total of three children. The American authorities, the European Commission and the British government, who imposed sanctions on Kabaeva because of her personal relationship with Putin, are also convinced of this.

Alina was born on May 12, 1983 in Tashkent, and at the age of 3 and a half she started training. Her father, Marat Kabaev, an ethnic Tatar, is a football player. Her mother Lyubov Mihaylovna is Russian, also a former athlete.

When she was 11 years old, she and her mother moved to Moscow to work with the famous coach Irina Viner (wife of oligarch Alisher Usmanov), who later headed the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation. At the age of 15, Alina won the European Championship (1998), and then became the absolute champion of Europe four more times. In 1999, she took the gold in the all-around at the World Championships, and in 2004 she became the Olympic champion in Athens.

In 2007, the gymnast left the big sport, but the same year she became a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. On February 15, 2008, she became the chairman of the Public Council of the National Media Group holding. In September 2014, Kabaeva took the post of chairman of the board of directors of NMG, she also heads the board of directors of ZAO Sport-Express, writes “Maritsa”.

At the beginning of April this year, the 12th Rhythmic Gymnastics Festival “Alina” was held in Sochi, organized on the basis of the “Heavenly Grace” Academy, owned by Kabaeva.

Kabaeva rarely gives interviews and hardly communicates with the media. Russian publications dare not publish almost anything about her relationship with Putin.

Kabaeva is believed to have given birth to the Russian president’s first son in 2015 at a clinic in Switzerland, but after it became international news, in 2019 she chose not to leave Russia for her second birth. Then she became a mother of twins. Putin and Alina are believed to live with their children at his private residence in Valdai.

According to the opposition publication Project, five assistants follow Kabaeva everywhere, two of whom are her cousins.

The Center for Corruption and Organized Crime Research (OCCRP) and Meduza previously identified LLCInvest.ru, a group of interconnected companies that own palaces, resorts, yachts, planes and bank accounts full of cash for Putin. With them, all the wishes of the former Olympic champion are fulfilled.

In the course of its latest investigation, “Project” managed to find the exact location and even obtained photos of the dictator’s opulent private residence in Valdai, where Kabaeva seems to spend most of her time with her children.

In February of this year, information leaked that Putin bought the largest apartment in Russia for Alina. It was paid with funds from the Cypriot offshore company Ermira, referred to as the “purse” of the Russian president, according to an investigation by Proekt, cited on the Radio Liberty website.

It is a two-story maisonette with an area of 2,600 square meters, built in the “Royal Park” residential complex in Sochi. The apartment has a swimming pool, a cinema, a courtyard and its own helipad. Russian fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin worked on the design of the maisonette, recognized as the “largest apartment in Russia” in 2021.

As the “Project” investigation has clarified, the apartment was first bought in 2011 by Oleg Rudnov, a Russian oligarch who died in 2015 and co-owned Rossiya Bank together with Putin’s close oligarch Yury Kovalchuk. The money for the purchase of real estate came to him from the Cypriot offshore company Ermira. It is noted that the penthouse cost Rudnov about 90 million rubles, which is five times lower than the price that the developer indicated. “Project” calls Rudnov “Putin’s old butler.”

The publication’s source claims that Rudnov bought this maisonette specifically for Kabaeva. In addition, two apartments on the upper floors and adjacent to the maisonettes of the residential complex were given to Kabaeva’s grandmother Anna Zatsepilina.

The “Project” correspondent, under the guise of a buyer, met with two brokers selling apartments in this building. According to them, they heard that the maisonette was “Kabaeva’s property”.

“Proekt” has also established that a tall wooden residential building with an area of 1,200 square meters was built 800 meters from Putin’s residence in Valdai. She runs the company “Prime”, registered in the name of Vladimir Putin’s friend Yury Kovalchuk. A source of the publication said that this house was also built especially for Kabaeva.

Three other apartments in the Black Sea resort are registered in the name of her grandmother.
