“Alien: Earth” Renewed for Second Season as Noah Hawley Extends Deal with FX
FX has greenlit a second season of its critically acclaimed series “Alien: earth,” together announcing a new, multi-year overall deal with the show’s creator, Noah Hawley. The renewal comes as the first season concludes, leaving audiences anticipating further exploration of the show’s unique take on the iconic “Alien” universe.
The second season will see a change of scenery, shifting production from Thailand to London, with filming slated to begin next year.this renewal underscores FX’s confidence in Hawley’s vision and the series’ potential, especially as the first season garnered strong reviews despite a divisive cliffhanger ending. Hawley himself had previously indicated plans for multiple seasons.
The new deal between Hawley and FX/Disney Entertainment Television is reportedly worth nine figures, solidifying a partnership that has spanned over a decade. The first season of “Alien: Earth” starred Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, David Rysdahl and Adrian Edmondson.
