Alice Robinson Continues Dominance with Giant Slalom Win in Mont Tremblant
MONT TREMBLANT, Canada – Alice Robinson of New Zealand claimed victory in the first of two World Cup giant slalom races held in Mont Tremblant on Saturday, December 6, 2025, solidifying her position as a force in alpine skiing. This win follows her recent success at Copper Mountain, marking back-to-back giant slalom triumphs for the 24-year-old.
Robinson finished ahead of Croatia’s Zrinka Ljutic, who secured second place with a time +0.94 seconds behind Robinson, and Canada’s valerie Grenier, who delighted the home crowd with a third-place finish, +1.00 seconds off the pace.
Despite challenging conditions – including snowfall and limited visibility – and a demanding course, Robinson navigated both runs with precision. “it’s flat and soft, that’s what I usually struggle with. I wanted to drive as cleanly as possible and it worked out well,” Robinson stated after the first run.She further described the race as “a mix of pushing and very technical riding. It’s an easy slope, but it wasn’t easy.”

The Italian team also delivered strong performances. Sofia Goggia maintained a top-10 position, improving to eighth place overall. lara Della Mea showcased extraordinary skill, achieving the fastest time in the second run and ultimately climbing 14 places to finish ninth, just behind Goggia.
Robinson’s victory represents her sixth career World Cup win, demonstrating her consistent performance and adaptability on the international stage. The second giant slalom in Mont Tremblant is scheduled for sunday, December 7, 2025, offering Robinson another prospect to showcase her skills.
