The Alicante City Council, through the Department of Culture, joins the PHotoEspaña # PHEdesdemibalcón proposal, in which 30 other cities such as Elche, Madrid, Salamanca, Valladolid, Santander, A Coruña, Alcobendas, Alcalá de Henares, are already participating. Segovia, Badajoz, Seville, Barcelona, Córdoba, Logroño.
Alicante has wanted to join this new initiative, in which cities will host exhibitions on balconies and windows during the summer with images taken during confinement by their respective neighbors, among others.
The call will remain open until May 17 and to participate it will only be necessary to follow the PHotoEspaña account on the social network Instagram (@photoespana_), upload the photos to the individual profile, adding the hashtags # PHEdesdemibalcón, # PHE20 and @photoespana_ and complete registration on the web www.phe.es
Since the launch of the call, on March 30, more than 22,000 images have been uploaded to Instagram and the festival’s website has registered 10,566 entries.
The Councilor for Culture, Antonio Manresa, has indicated that “we are going to participate in the project because we want to challenge citizens to explore their creative capacity using photography as a language through their balconies and windows in these moments of confinement.”
