Alexei Navalny thanks the Russian pilots of the plane and the medics from Omsk

Aleksei Navalny published on Friday thanks to the pilots of the plane that had to land forcibly on August 20, when it felt bad during the flight. The Russian opposition activist also thanked the paramedics from Omsk, who immediately gave him atropine.

“Unknown, good friends” and “good people” described on Friday on Facebook the Russian oppositionist Alexei Navalny of the Russian pilots of the plane who forcibly landed on August 20 and the paramedics from Omsk, who saved his life with their decisions. These people, he assessed, played a “key role” in his fate.

Alexei Navalny speculated that the plan of the people he called the killers assumed that he would feel bad about 20 minutes after the plane took off from Tomsk to Moscow. During the flight, he added, “medical assistance will be unavailable and I will continue my journey in a black plastic bag on the last row of seats.” Meanwhile, as he put it, there were several “happy coincidences” and “precise actions by unknown good people.”

As he explained, the pilots quickly landed in Omsk, despite the fact that information about an allegedly planted bomb reached the airport at that time. – The employees of the airport medical services and the resuscitation ambulance did not lie about diabetes – emphasized Navalny. These medics, he reported, immediately diagnosed him with poisoning and gave him atropine.

“So, the pilots and early medics just gave me an extra 15-20 hours of life. Everything that followed was very dramatic and deserves a separate story, but it wouldn’t be anything to tell if it weren’t for these guys,” wrote Alexei Navalny.

Poisoning Alexei Navalny

The cruise from Tomsk to Moscow usually takes about four hours. Navalny felt unwell within 30 minutes after the plane took off. About 20 minutes later, this information reached the cabin crew who tried to help him. One of the passengers who was a nurse joined in.

About an hour and a half after take-off, the flight crew asked to land in Omsk and received immediate permission from the airport. Five minutes later, someone called the airport claiming that a bomb had been planted there.

The names of the doctors who first treated Navalny have not been made public. Alexei Navalny is still in Germany. As his colleagues announced, he will stay there until the end of rehabilitation, which may take several weeks.
