Eduardo Lacen, a young attempted murder suspect, escaped from a New York police station in the Bronx yesterday after pushing a detective, NYPD sources said.
And video released today by New York Post it shows the 23-year-old fugitive suspect running out of the police station without handcuffs, and an officer appears shortly afterward trying to catch up with him, to no avail.
Lacen had previously pushed a detective who had been prosecuting him at the 40th Precinct Precinct on Alexander Avenue near East 138th Street in the Motthaven neighborhood, yesterday around 1:30 pm, authorities said.
Lacen, who appears in the video wearing red pants, a black T-shirt and white sneakers, was last seen heading north on Morris Avenue from 140th Street.
The suspect was initially handcuffed in connection with a shooting not fatal. There was no additional information on that case at this time. Lacen was still on the loose this morning, police acknowledged.
