According to channel ABC 7, apparently a person threw a metal object in an area with seats located next to the famous red stairs where theater tickets are sold.
Authorities have evacuated about two blocks around that area to investigate the object and ensure that it is not dangerous as a precaution, taking into account this morning’s alert in Washington DC.
Hours earlier, the United States Capitol Police reported that it was investigating “a threat of bomb” near the Library of Congress and urged pedestrians to avoid the area through his Twitter.
