Aldi is making a large entry into the pawn shop: new products have appeared in branches

So far, Aldi customers have only had one-way beer bottles and beer cans with a deposit of 25 cents each. In a further step, it is possible that mineral water will also be offered in glass bottles.

Competitor Netto Marken-Discount also initially carried out tests and later offered a variety of drinks in reusable bottles. Penny customers can also buy and return returnable bottles – however, the range is limited to beer.

While customers pay a deposit of 25 cents for PET bottles and cans, the deposit price for returnable bottles is 15 cents. Customers even pay a deposit of eight cents for reusable beer bottles.
