Alarming! New childhood disease is emerging in Western countries, but connection with corona has not (yet) been demonstrated – The Daily Standard

The Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the United States and the United Kingdom have reported several reports of a new childhood disease emerging. The latter even regrets deaths. Abdominal, stomach and intestinal complaints with a strong fever are the symptoms. I wonder: is this a new disease, or a result of corona?

No proof yet?
This new “childhood” disease is therefore emerging in various countries, at a time when those countries are in lockdown. It is therefore not surprising that one makes the link with the coronavirus.

Doctors and similar experts are of course very careful. Most of them hold “no medical evidence for a link to corona,” which is obviously not the same as “there is no link with corona “. But with a little reading you can go a long way, and certain things quickly become apparent. Thus, the disease has two clear features.

Kawasaki disease
The first is that the symptoms resemble those of Kawasaki disease appear. But that’s a fairly rare childhood disease that affects children up to 5 years old. However, the Dutch cases are two teenagers and in Italy and the United Kingdom these are school-aged and young teenagers. That is more 5 years and older than “up to 5 years” as is the case with Kawasaki disease.

Toxic shock syndrome
The other characteristic is it Toxic shock syndrome (TSS). Rashes, dying tissue and all kinds of infections, I read here. The coronavirus is known to cause it tissue damage and that it is through ACE2 receptors penetrates the lungs.

Cytokine storm
SARS, which enters the body in the same way, sometimes resulted in what is known as patients cytokine storm: an overreaction of the immune system. It has the same symptoms as this new childhood disease. And, also “coincidentally”, this quote from the AD article: “About a possible connection with the virus, he says (red: Van Woensel): ,, If so, and it is really too early to speak of it, it would probably not be so much the virus itself, but to overreaction of the immune system to go.'”

Very good that those doctors are so careful, you have to keep all options open, but this is all very coincidental. I think that link will be made.
