The Argentine government gave the green light for its athletes to return to training, in preparation For the Tokyo Olympics Which was deported from the current summer to the summer of 2021, due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, stressing the need to respect health regulations.

This measure affects 143 Argentine athletes who were guaranteeing their eligibility for the 2020 Olympic Games, in addition to others who are still seeking to qualify for the Olympics, which left for a year.

Healthy protocols in Argentina when the activity resumes

Argentine President Alberto Fernandez said he was working in particular with the Minister of Tourism and Sports Matias Lamines to amend the health protocols that would be implemented.

“Olympic sport is very important for the country, and we want the athletes to train, which is why we have set protocols with Matthias Lamines so our representatives in Tokyo can prepare,” Fernandez explained to the local sports channel, TYC.
