Tariq Al-Saeed, a former player in Zamalek, stated that his move to Al-Ahly was a mistake against Al-Zamalek, saying that he did not then have offers from other clubs.
Al-Saeed said in his statements to the Zamalek channel: “Without doubt I erred in the right of the fans of Zamalek, but there were reasons, and I refuse to be questioned by anyone in Zamalek, and despite this I know that the fans of Zamalek criticized me out of love.”
He continued: “I did not have any other offers when I left Zamalek except for the one that came from the competing club.”
He explained the details of his transfer to Al-Ahly, saying: “My contract was supposed to expire at the end of the season in 2005, and it was an election period, and four stars from the team were renewed a year ago and they renewed their contracts, and they did not talk to me.”
He added: “When Mortada Mansour won the elections, I had already signed for Al-Ahly in late March, but I nevertheless held a session with him in respect of him as a person, but I made a mistake because I left in the middle of the session because of my fear of signing a mistake for two clubs.”
He revealed the details of the fans’ refusal to be in the technical staff of the team for the 2014-2015 season: “I would have been in the technical staff of Hussam Hassan in Zamalek, and the fans of Zamalek refused, so Mortada Mansour retreated in respect of them, and they promised me in Zamalek club that there is an opportunity to return again to work in the club, after I apologize For the fans and the order is accepted. “
Tariq Al-Saeed moved to Al-Ahly in the summer of 2006, and he managed with the team to achieve the League, Cup and Champions League trilogy and participated in achieving the bronze medal in the Club World Cup.
