Brighton have announced the appointment of Roberto de Zerbe as their new manager with a four-year contract.

The English club explained that the 43-year-old Italian manager had accepted the terms of the contract, as long as he had obtained a work permit. De Zerbe will thus become the first Italian manager in the history of Brighton.

De Zerbe and his coaching staff are expected to lead the squad against Liverpool at Anfield next Saturday.
