The UAE club Al-Jazira has denied the truth about reports that the Emirati capital club has entered into negotiations with Swiss coach René Fyler, the coach of Al-Ahly club, to lead the team in the coming period.
A source in Al-Jazira Club told the Emirati newspaper, “Al Khaleej”, that his club did not negotiate Fyler for the leadership of the capital team instead of Dutchman Marcel Kaiser.
The source stressed – whose name has not been released – that his club respects the contract with the Dutch coach, whose contract continues until the end of next season.
Press reports had linked the coach of the Al-Ahly club with the leadership of the Al-Jazira team, but the UAE club official denied the allegations.
Feiler’s contract with Al-Ahly expires at the end of the season, but Sharif Fouad, spokesman for the Red Castle, revealed earlier that his club had reached an agreement with the Swiss coach to renew the contract.
Feiler and Al-Ahly managed to prove himself worthy to stay in the post after the good results, whether in the local or African career in his first season.
Al-Ahly dominated the league competition ranking after mid-season, with the red team holding 48 points, 16 points ahead of the Arab contractors.
