Akrapovic Reveals Ninja 250 4-Cylinder Power When Dyno Test

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Kawasaki has confirmed it will launch the Kawasaki ZX-25R on July 10, 2020. The motorbike, which debuted at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, will launch after it was delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Not long ago Kawasaki released a video about the ZX-25R’s dyno test, but there was no mention of its strength. Although rumors are widely mentioned that the Ninja 250 4-cylinder is capable of spitting out more than 40 tk.

Now the ZX-25R’s leak is revealed from Akrapovic, a Slovenian aftermarket exhaust manufacturer. Akrapovic released the ZX-25R technical data during the dyno test both when using standard exhaust and racing. Although later the data was revealed, because it is still confidential.

From the data released, when using a standard muffler the motor has 42 tk of power at 15,350 rpm and torque of 20.8 Nm at 12,700 rpm. As for when using the racing exhaust increased to 43.3 tk at 15,450 rpm at 21.5 Nm of torque at 21.5 rpm.

In Indonesia, Budiman Terianto, owner of Sphinx Motorsport as the official distributor of Akrapovic, said that his party was ready to launch the ZX-25R racing exhaust. Just waiting for the official motor slide in the country.

“The goods are ready, all we have to do is send. Anyway, we estimate the goods are ready in mid-July. We order about 200 more units,” said Budiman, when contacted by Kompas.com, recently.

The Akrapovic exhaust specifications for the Ninja 250 4-cylinder use stainless steel for the neck and carbon in the silencer. For the price, Budiman’s estimate is Rp. 20 million.
