Ajax make their debut against Napoli with Kudus attacker, also owner Taylor and Berghuis | Soccer

Ajax will start their Champions League match against Napoli on Tuesday with Mohammed Kudus in attack. The Ghanaian is preferred in the Johan Cruijff ArenA to Brian Brobbey, who is sitting on the bench.

Coach Alfred Schreuder returns to his trusted line-up against the Serie A leader, having given the chance to other names on Saturday against the Go Ahead Eagles (1-1).

In addition to Brobbey, Davy Klaassen, Lucas Ocampos and Florian Grillitsch will also be back on the bench. Edson Álvarez, Steven Berghuis, Steven Bergwijn and then Kudus can start again.

At Napoli there is a fundamental place for Hirving Lozano, who played at PSV from 2017 to 2019. The Mexican winger forms a three-way avant-garde with Giacomo Raspadori and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Stanislav Lobotka, who played in Ajax’s Under 21 team in the 2013/2014 season, is in midfield alongside André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Piotr Zielinski.

Ajax-Napoli starts Tuesday at 21 at the Johan Cruijff ArenA and is led by the French referee Francois Letexier.

The other Group A match on Tuesday evening is Liverpool v Rangers FC and will be played at Anfield. That game also starts at 9pm.

After the defeats against Liverpool and AZ and the draw against the Go Ahead Eagles, Ajax finally want to win again against Napoli. The last time the Amsterdam club didn’t win four straight games was in 2017 under Marcel Keizer.
