5 augustus 2020 – Ajax benefits from the upcoming transfer from Deyovaisio Zeefuik to Hertha BSC. According to an agreement with FC Groningen, the Amsterdammers are entitled to almost half of the transfer fee. The 22-year-old right back moved to Berlin for approximately four million euros.
According to RTV North Ajax receives half of the transfer fee above 300,000 euros – the amount for which Groningen Zeefuik moved north two years ago. That means that about 1.85 million will go to Ajax. Groningen, in turn, has agreed a good resale percentage with Hertha. Zeefuik itself is currently in Berlin for the medical examination and the transfer will probably be completed on Wednesday.

The agreements with Ajax were brought to the table during the transfer of Kaj Sierhuis. He moved to Stade Reims last winter. The striker was rented by Groningen from Ajax and had the Pride of the North an option to buy. Groningen participated in the transfer after, among other things, a buy-back clause of Ajax was removed from the Zeefuik contract. A resale percentage was agreed instead.
