Reduce the stigma and discrimination faced by people living with AIDS. This was the subject at the center of the meeting organized by the National AIDS Control Council. It was a plea to opinion leaders to reduce the stigma and discrimination experienced by people living with HIV.
It was an opportunity to give opinion leaders a general overview of the evolution of HIV / AIDS in Chad in order to better mobilize for raising public awareness of the dangers of this disease. Religious leaders, security officials and leaders of civil society organizations participated.

The head of the civil society and community support service at the national executive secretariat of the National AIDS Control Council, Mahamat Tahir Adam, said that Chad is committed to its partners so that 90% of people living with HIV / AIDS is screened, 90% of infected people are put on antiretroviral (ARV) and 90% of people on ARV are treated.
