Ahsan/Hendra fail to qualify for the last 16 of the Denmark Open

Indonesian men’s doubles, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan lost to the German pair, Marks Lamsfuss/Marvin Seidel, thus failing to qualify for the last 16 of the Denmark Open.

Ahsan/Hendra, who did not perform optimally, lost in two straight games 17-21, 13-21 to Lamsfuss/Seidel in just 29 minutes.

In the first game, Lamsfuss/Seidel could maintain the lead over Ahsan/Hendra. Lamsfuss/Seidel lead 4-2, 7-6 and closed the first game interval with 11-9.

Ahsan/Hendra can’t catch up with the points deficit after the interval. Lamsfuss/Seidel are able to lead 15-13.

Ahsan / Hendra were then able to make the position a draw at 16-16. After that, Ahsan/Hendra could only add one point and the first game was closed by Lamsfuss/Seidel with a score of 21-17.

In the second game, the points for the two pairs continued to be tight. The score of Ahsan/Hendra vs Lamsfuss/Seidel continues to be balanced at 3-3, 4-4, 5-5.

After that, Lamfuss/Seidel could move away with a 7-5 lead. Ahsan/Hendra had equalized to 7-7 but a hit from Hendra which hit the net put Lamfuss/Seidel ahead 8-7.

Lamfuss/Seidel continued to press and made Ahsan/Hendra difficult. Lamfuss/Seidel secured three consecutive points to close the second game interval with 11-7.

Lamfuss/Seidel took the next two points after the interval to move the lead to 13-7. However, Ahsan / Hendra could reduce the gap to 9-13.

In a condition of four points behind, Ahsan / Hendra never managed to get out of the pressure. Ahsan/Hendra’s frequent mistakes made Lamfuss/Seidel superior to 17-10.

Ahsan/Hendra are in a more difficult position because of the mistakes they often make. Lambfuss/Seidel also closed the second game with 21-13.

The women’s doubles, Nita Violina Marwah/Putri Syaikah and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti/Ribka Sugiarto failed to advance to the next round, who were defeated by their respective opponents. Meanwhile, the women’s singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung was able to qualify for the last 16 after defeating the Danish representative, Julie Dawall Jakobsen.
