The president of the African Union added, “We will not resume the competitions soon, because the Coruna virus is out of control in most African countries.”
Ahmed Ahmed concluded his speech by saying: “I do not want football to become a reason for violating the precautionary measures imposed by African governments to deal with this pandemic, and that the primacy is now in Africa for health and not for football.”
The Confederation of African Football has decided to postpone the semi-finals and the final match in the African and Confederation Champions League tournaments indefinitely, due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus, and Al-Ahly and Zamalek participate in the Champions League, while the Pyramids team plays in the Confederation.
Kef also postponed the qualifiers for the 2021 African Nations Cup in Cameroon, for the same reason.
