Brainerd Planning ‍Commission to Consider Major Progress Proposals, Short-Term Rental Permits

Brainerd, MN – November ​15, 2025 ⁤- The Brainerd ​Planning ⁢Commission will ​convene today, November 16th, to address​ a packed agenda including a ‌proposed 190-unit apartment complex, a potential animal clinic, and multiple short-term rental​ permit requests. The meeting’s outcomes will significantly impact future land use and housing availability within the city.

Residents can view ⁣the proceedings live on CTC channel ​8, Charter channel 181, and various streaming platforms including YouTube, AppleTV, Roku, and Amazon FireTV. The⁢ commission ⁢will deliberate on projects poised‍ to ⁢reshape sections of Brainerd, balancing growth with community needs and ‍existing ⁣zoning regulations.Decisions made ‍will affect property‌ owners, potential renters, and the overall character ⁤of neighborhoods.

The meeting will begin with‌ standard procedures ​- call⁢ to order,roll call,and the⁤ Pledge of Allegiance ⁣- followed‌ by approval of the agenda and minutes from the October 15th,2025 meeting. Additionally, three⁣ Interim Use ​Permits⁤ for short-term rentals will⁢ be reviewed: properties⁢ located at 1005‍ S. 6th St, 712 6th St N, and 9995 Island Drive. ⁤
