The Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman called a British journalist “stupid”, after urging him to obtain a definitive response to the allegations that Prince Muhammad bin Salman personally stood behind the phone piracy of American billionaire Jeff Bezos, the founder of the Amazon company and owner of the Washington Post.
Journalist Joel Hills of the British television network, ITV News, tried yesterday, Wednesday, to obtain a comment from the Saudi minister on the sidelines of the Davos Forum. He asked him: “Why did Saudi Arabia penetrate Jeff Bezos’ phone?”, To answer: “A wrong question in the place. Wrong. “
The Saudi minister added, “Everything you do now is aimed only at attracting attention.”
However, the British journalist continued to follow Prince Abdulaziz and renewed his question differently from whether Saudi Arabia was considering Bezos a “legitimate target”; the minister would describe this as “ridicule and a joke.”
The British journalist continued, “Does that seem ironic? People are worried about cyber attacks.” The Saudi minister interrupted him and called him: “You fool!”
While the journalist apparently was shocked and shocked by the Saudi minister’s response to the point that he was skeptical about what he heard, he asked him: “Do you think I am stupid?” The minister responds beyond a reasonable doubt: “Yes.”

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Saudi embassy in Washington denied the media reports that the kingdom was behind the phone piracy of Bezos, describing it as “ridiculous allegations,” while calling for an investigation to obtain all the facts.
International media reports have claimed that the phone of the American billionaire was hacked by Prince Muhammad bin Salman, where he received an encrypted message believed to have contained a malicious file on his phone through the application “WhatsApp” from the private number of the Saudi crown prince on May 1, 2018.
The British newspaper “The Guardian” claimed that a lot of data was extracted from Bezos’ phone within hours, indicating that he was exchanging messages with Bin Salman – apparently – via WhatsApp normally, so it was natural for him to open the message without any doubts.
While the British newspaper “Financial Times” claimed that Bezos received before the penetration of his phone a message from the Saudi crown prince’s number, saying: “Everything you hear or report is incorrect and it will take time for you to know the truth, there is nothing against you or against Amazon, whether from me or From the kingdom. “
