The Jaguar E-Pace is created using the new Premium Transverse Architecture platform, adapted for use with state-of-the-art electrified drive technologies. These include the three-cylinder P300e PHEV and the four-cylinder diesel and petrol Ingenium engines with partial hybrid technology (MHEV).

The new range includes diesel engines with 163 to 204 hp, petrol engines with 160 to 300 hp, as well as the new 309 hp powerful rechargeable hybrid version.

The P300e’s PHEV drivetrain includes a 200-horsepower three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine and a rear-mounted 109 hp (80 kW) electric engine. The compact electric motor is powered by a 15 kWh lithium-ion battery located under the luggage compartment. Fully charged, it can only travel up to 55 kilometers in electric mode.

MHEV’s hybrid technology, which includes both three-cylinder petrol and four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, uses an integrated starter generator that stores the energy normally lost during deceleration and braking in a 48-volt lithium-ion battery. Later, this energy is used during acceleration, as well as it ensures a smoother operation of the “Start & Stop” system.

The most powerful version of the petrol engine reaches 300 hp. Available as an exclusive version of the 300 Sport, it generates 400 Nm of torque and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.9 seconds.

The E-Pace all-wheel drive system uses second-generation Standard Driveline technology, which automatically distributes torque between the front and rear wheels, thus ensuring maximum traction at all times. For the first time, this system is available with Driveline Disconnect technology – when driving at a constant speed, it disengages all-wheel drive, shifting power to the front wheels only and reducing fuel consumption.

Exclusive to the 300 Sport only, Jaguar’s second-generation Active Driveline AWD system provides maximum all-wheel grip and unparalleled dynamic performance. Like the Standard Driveline version, the Active Driveline AWD system distributes torque between the front and rear axles. In addition, two independent, electronically controlled viscous clutches mounted on the rear axle distribute the torque between the rear wheels and up to 100% of the torque can be transferred to one of the rear wheels in just 100 milliseconds.

LED headlights with even more optional Pixel LED technology for even greater driving safety, further increasing the brightness of the lights. Adaptive Driving Beam technology monitors the road ahead and automatically adjusts the driving beam by selecting different LED segments, diverting light from oncoming vehicles and road signs, thus improving visibility without distracting or dazzling other drivers.

The Pivi Pro multimedia system uses an 11.4-inch high-resolution curved touchscreen that is three times brighter and 48% larger than the previous model, while a simplified menu layout allows drivers to browse and select 90% of frequently used functions with two or more. one touch.

The cabin air ionization system uses nanotechnology and improves cabin air quality by eliminating allergens and unpleasant odors, as well as by not allowing extremely small particles into the cabin.

For the first time, the new E-Pace is also available with ClearSight interior rearview mirror technology. The view of the rear wide-angle camera is displayed on the bright frameless interior mirror screen, so it is not affected by tall passengers sitting in the back or poor visibility.

All E-Pace versions will be available for order very soon, but the first rechargeable hybrid models will reach customers in 2021.
