After the United States and Germany, the Netherlands also sends a Patriot air defense system to Ukraine

Rutte said the Netherlands would join the initiative of Germany and the United States to send such an air defense system to Ukraine. The Dutch Prime Minister held telephone consultations on the matter with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz earlier in the day on Tuesday. On Monday, Mr. Rutte also spoke with Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky.

The Patriot system is considered an advanced anti-aircraft system and should allow kyiv to shoot down multiple missiles and aircraft from a much greater range than previously supplied systems.
