The Minister of Energy and Water Walid Fayyad confirmed that “Lebanon is close to a major breakthrough, waiting for the official notification of the date of the loading of Iraqi black fuel.”
In an interview with Al-Jadeed, Fayyad said: “We will not allow the darkness to exist, and we will continue the struggle until the electricity supply is guaranteed.”
The Electricité du Liban announced in a statement that the Deir Ammar plant was completely out of service.
