The number of daily Corona injuries and deaths in Egypt has increased since late last month, with the Ministry of Health registering 664 new positive cases and 29 deaths yesterday, bringing the total number that was registered in Egypt until Sunday, to 125,555 positive cases, including 106,817 cases that were cured, and 7,098 cases. death.
Shawky added in an interview with Masrawy that will be published later, that “looking at the numbers of deaths and injuries and according to all these numbers, a precautionary measure will be taken for them, and this will be agreed upon in coordination between the ministry and the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management headed by the Prime Minister, which takes the measures taken. Are in line with the state’s conditions. “
Regarding the scientific committee’s recommendation to take more measures to close, similar to what the government took in the first wave, Shawky said: “All of these matters exist from A to Z, for example when do we take measures to close? And all of this is in the precautionary plan. “
He continued, “Everything is possible by taking strict measures related to the protection of citizens, and if we are forced to do so, it will happen.”
A member of the Scientific Committee to Combat Corona specified the cases that the government takes measures to close, that “we reach the peak of the second wave, and there is no capacity for hospitals to deal with cases of infection, whether it is care or internal departments, and there is an increase in the number of injuries throughout the week with a significant increase.” In the numbers of deaths, and all of these matters will be confronted, especially if the vaccine is not available to everyone. “
Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education, announced yesterday that absence for the remaining days of the first semester will not be counted for those who wish to do so, as part of the measures to confront the Corona virus.
