The price of gold in the local market rose slightly during the day’s trading on Saturday, after it plunged yesterday by 11 pounds per gram.
Naguib Club, Secretary General of the Gold Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a 21-gram gold gram today was 736 pounds per gram, compared to 735 pounds yesterday.
The price of a gram of 18 carat gold today rose to 630.8 pounds, 24 carats to 841.1 pounds, and the gold pound rose to 5888 pounds.
And the global gold prices tumbled at the end of trading yesterday by 2%, according to data from Bloomberg Agency.
Global gold prices fell to $ 1682.8 an ounce, down $ 34.8 from the previous day.
It is reported that today and tomorrow is an official holiday on the World Gold Exchange.
