Gold prices stabilized in Egypt during trading yesterday, Saturday, compared to their levels on Friday, after global prices concluded their weekly trading on the first loss in 6 weeks.
The Club Naguib, Secretary General of the Gold Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a gram of 21-carat gold settled at 683 pounds, which is the same level yesterday, Friday.
The price of a gram of 18 carat gold was about 585 pounds, and the price of a gram of 24 carat was about 781 pounds, and the price of a pound of gold reached 5464 pounds.
Globally, gold prices rose 0.3% during trading on Friday to 1557.24 dollars an ounce, but ended the week down 0.3% in the first loss in six weeks, according to Reuters.
