After the “covid alarm” in Gulbene municipality, municipal institutions will again be available in person – in Latvia

From today, Gulbene municipality institutions will again be open for face-to-face visits, in accordance with epidemiological requirements.

The decision to resume on-site work was made on the basis of information from the Center for Disease Prevention and Control that no new cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Gulbene municipality in recent days, while all cases detected so far are controlled by the responsible services.

It has already been reported that, taking into account the increase in the number of Covid-19 infected people in Gulbene municipality, an order with stricter restrictions to limit the spread of the disease in Gulbene municipality was issued two weeks ago. Among other things, it provided that municipal authorities would not accept customers in person.

Also, all cultural, sports and other public events organized by local government institutions and structural units, all interest education and amateur art events organized by Gulbene municipality – trainings, competitions, classes, rehearsals, camps were canceled or postponed.

The municipality called on every inhabitant of Gulbene region to keep their distance, wash and disinfect their hands regularly, without the special need not to visit public places and do not gather, to use the mobile app “Stop Covid”.

Gulbene municipality is the first municipality to decide to close 56 municipal institutions in person after the lifting of the state of emergency in the country.
