after the accident, the northern ring road reopened

On Friday, a little before 4 p.m., a vehicle traveling on the Poincaré bridge in Caluire, just before the toll barrier, fell on the lanes of the northern ring road, located just below. The circumstances of this accident are not yet known.

The car tore off a concrete block and the parapet of the bridge, before falling fifteen meters below, on the northern ring road.

A utility vehicle arriving at the same time could not avoid the car and hit it. Three other vehicles were involved in accidents due to debris and concrete blocks that fell on the tracks.

The driver of the Peugeot who fell, a man in his forties who was alone on board was taken care of by emergency services in absolute urgency, then transported to the Edouard-Herriot hospital.
