After several days of truce, the smoke from the islands polluted the air in Rosario again

The smell of burning was felt again in the city of Rosario and the coastal towns of the region, which is why the province’s Civil Protection secretariat activated the protocol of fires.

For this reason, the provincial agency together with members of the Entre Ríos Fire Management Plan ordered the resumption of operations to combat the flames in the area of islas.

It was a focus located in front of the Cargill cereal, where two hydrant planes had to go to quell the fires that began to activate during this weekend.

Last Wednesday, the Naval Prefecture delayed two people after they could not justify a fire outbreak due to the burning of dry grass in a sector of the islands. A coast guard patrol, which was traveling through the high delta of the Paraná, spotted a dense column of smoke, which came from a land where dry grass burned.

Then came the saving rain and thanks to it and the work of the almost 70 brigadistas, the outbreaks were extinguished. However, after a few days of truce the islands burned again.
